New College Swindon – 25 years of excellence

Between September 2009 and August 2010 we celebrated New College Swindon's 25th anniversary year.

Many things have changed since the college first opened in September 1984 with just 500 students. Supported by a £12million campus redevelopment in 2003 the College has worked to cater for the whole of the community; now offering GCSEs, A Levels, vocational qualifications, apprenticeships, degree level courses, part time leisure courses and bespoke training programmes for businesses. As of 2010 we work with over 3,000 16-19 year old students and around 10,000 adult and businesses learners.

Our past students have achieved outstanding success; we've had Olympics athletes, west end stars and first class business leaders.

And we continue to look forward - our anniversary year marked the approval of a new £10million Annexe to increase the capacity of the college by 35%. Find out more about the new Annexe

Our current students are the stars of the future, and we aim to turn our 25 years of excellence into many more years of outstanding teaching to come. Best wishes
